looking for a classic look

hey guys,
I have a 98 black tj and i am trying to get a nice vintage look, almost like a cj. right now pretty much everything on it is stock, except the tires are 30s. i was hoping to get some suggestions and tips on how i can achieve this. any pics would be helpful too! thanks!

Flat fenders
Jk turn signals
Cj mirrors
Cj bumper
Tailgate fold down conversion
Leaf spring conversion

Depends on how far you wanna take it but the first 4 will prob get you where you wanna be under a grand.

Flat dash. It can be done, do it. Take off your plastic door panels, use sheet metal instead.. Plus what's been said up there.

Do a search here, I know someone did it recently and I think it was this forum. Turned out great. Only issue I see is it deletes your air bags which kinda stinks.

Don't know if a CJ roll bar could be fitted but it would be a lot more 'vintage' than the 'birdcage' on the TJs.
Maybe some chrome?

DevilDogDoc - Are these the MCE fenders? What did you do for the back flares?

They are MCE fenders. For the back I just cut the part that hung over and left them flat.
Now about leaves, this is how you do that. Now this is a CJ!

Plenty of guys run leaves on TJ's. Personally, I'm a link fan myself but if you can operate an angle grinder and a welder, you can do anything you want.
