Looking for blown engine TJ

I recently picked up a salvage title 99' TJ 6cyl from Davey's Jeeps. Got her home and slapped a fuel pump in (also from davey's) and now she is up and running around the yard. I've priced the work (frame pulling, bodywork, and airbags) and the cost to retitle is gonna total up to around $1500-$2000. But I figure for that I could buy a TJ with blown engine and just swap the 99' engine in and be ready to go, as well as have alot of extra donor parts for the future.

Any thoughts on this? Any one know of a TJ for sale that would fit this project?

nice.. Keep us posted.. Since his was a 4 banger stick shift he's gonna have 410 gearing to. Witch is a big upgrade over what ever is in that salvage tj unless of course ur salvage tj has a D44 in it then it be pointless to swap axles over lol

Naw that salvage TJ is rockin the D30 and 35 with 3.07's.

The 30/35 3.07's have served me well for the 215k in my 01' TJ withs 31's, just had them built and went with 3.73's. Not much hardcore crawling around here but we do what we can, mostly hills, mud, and old forest service roads. But if the 4.11's come around it may be due for an axle swap lol. The plan is to make the salvage/blown jeep a nice clean daily driver and the 01 TJ an off-roader, but we all know where they'll both end up
