looking to blind some people

so i just put on my windshield light brackets, now i need some lights for em... haha

ive been shopping around but frankly i dont know where to start. i know lights are rated by candlepower... but it doesnt seem like quadratec gives us that rating. 55w for example... is that powerful?

any guidance would be great.

you NEED to get the kc 100 w daylighters. I have them on my windshield brackets and they are crazy bright. I also have them on my front bumper. I never drive with them on people in front cant see anything at all. I let my friend drive my jeep behind me when i was driving his and i just could not see anything cause all the mirrors were blinding me. My friend has the hella 55 w and there not the bright, I will take a picture of my jeep with them on. Its the brightest vihicle in miami ive ever seen.

I have some 100watt KC Daylighters on my brackets as well and love them. Definitely brighter than high beams. I think RIPbiker has the same ones and will say the same.

I just put brackets and new lights on this week. I used kc 55w fog lights on my bumper, and kc 130w driving lights on my windshield. Mine are the kc slimlites, with black stoneguards. They look cool cause they match and work really well also.

those are the basic daylighters, the slim lights are about the size of the factory fog lights. those will work fine though if thats the style you want. just make sure to get driving lights not fog lights for your windshield

As for the switch, i saw a couple on ebay some were singles to add to your existing panel, or a complete triple panel so you can add more lights or a winch or something.

Well heres my opinion,i bought the hella 55w driving lights from quadratec,i installed them on my windshield, didnt like them!! they put out a bright glare on the sides of the bulb,I hated it,blinded me,not really but you get the hint.So i sent them back and bought some kc slims 100w driving lights and matching 55w fogs for the bottom.I ordered them 4 days ago so i should have them on soon. If you look at a set of kc's they cant put light sideways like the hellas,so i know i will be happy. Hellas were cheaper!Hella for four was 160$ Kc's are like 100$ more..

I just got/installed the KC Slimlite Longrange 130W lights. Love'em! The minimal cost difference b/w the 100w/130w made it an easy decision.

Yea, my kc 130w are very nice, no glare off the hood or anything. And the slimlites look really clean on the windshield. I also ordered a pair of the slimlite factory replacement fog lights for the bumper. Besides the ribs on inside of glass they're identical to the driving lights and gave me a really cool custom look.

I've been working like crazy! I have enough time at night to check my mail before I go to bed, to be up ass early again.

tighten bolts really tight! lol I guess if your worried about theft, you could get someone to put a little tack weld on the nut and bolt. (on the bottom where you can grind it off if you ever need to get the lights off again.)

p.s. If you follow my dumb advice, prime and paint the weld so it doesn't rust.

Both sets came with bolts, nuts, washers, lock washers. Driving lights came with wiring harness, fuses, and kc switch. Factory fog light replacements just plug into factory harness.(super easy)
