Losing Coolant

Has anyone ever burned through coolant, but didn't leak it. I don't even know if that's possible. But no signs of leakage under the hood or on the ground ever. But adding half a bottle of coolant once every week and a half. I did it for the second time today.

It could be leaking just doesn't do it until your moving a certain speed that's what mine was doing but it stopped doing it for some reason guess I got luck, knock on wood!

Maybe, but I would think I'd see residual leaking when I parked somewhere, and I don't. Plus everything is dry under the hood and around the radiator.

Mines the same way I've only caught one drop on the draglink and that's all I've seen and it goes down fast! But I'm not sure what the problem with yours is. The only other thing I found was some marks on top of the hood that could be from the coolant all dried up with the dirt and crap that was up there. Wish I could help so I'll bump it back up there for others to read

You can get UV dye added to the system. Many shops/garages can do it. Then you come back after a couple of days and they hit it with a black light and it is clear where the leak is.

You know I have never thought of that I might give that a try if it starts leaking again it seems to have stopped a couple weeks ago so well see I guess

If it's not coming out the overflow or dripping on the floor it's probably going out your tailpipe.

I had the same issue, but I ended up finding out it was the driver side back freeze plug. In doing research, this seems to be a common problem with older TJs. Might want to check for wetness there.
