Loss of power after BB lift???

This may seem silly, but, who knows.

I installed a 2" BB on my 03 tj and now notice a little bit of power loss. could it be the increased angle on the torque converter or drive shaft? I didn't think the 2" would be that big of a deal. The spacers were more like a little more than 3", but I'm sure that's to compensate for spring compression.

Anyone experience the same?

Oh well, thanks in advance

You've got another problem surfacing, it's not from the BB, unless you really screwed up.

Loss of power could be something as simple as a dirty air filter finally plugging up, time for a tune up, fuel pump starting to go. Can't see how a puck lift would affect it.

Or raising the jeep increased the aerodynamic drag on it. Simple leverage in action.
Sitting lower, the barn door front end has so much drag, raising the drag up makes the force against it larger, and in turn the power to move it has to increase.

WOW, I thought of that this early in the morning!

I never did figure out what BB means. A BL is a body lift, I'm pretty sure. Is BB a body bushing lift? If so, wouldn't that be the same as a BL?

Thank you for that!

After my 3" SL I didn't notice any power loss, until I went to larger tires.
Do you still have the factory slip yoke?
It wouldn't hurt to look at your drive shaft joints. Make sure they are not maxed out on the angle and binding. Long shot, but why not.
