Low beams not working.

I have an 05 TJ, and yesterday while driving the low beams turned off (running lights and dash lights stayed on) so i turned the lights off then back on again and it fixed the problem.

Now tonight the dash lights work but the low beams don't (the high beams work fine) so i had to use my bumper lights for low beams.

is this a module problem or a replace headlight issue?

Maybe you blew a fuse?

No I dont think so. The low beams come on as they please when the switch is on. Both are lit when they do work.

If you checked the fuses and everything is good there, it's most likely your turn signal stalk/headlight switch. They are fairly inexpensive (nearly $60) and can be ordered from Autozone website. However, there could be another issue going on here that is very similar. It was also the problem I had. I replaced the sealed beam headlights with a H4 halogen bulb housings. The H4 bulbs I used were high-power, IPF Fatboys and pretty much melted my headlight connector where it connects to the switch in the steering column. They say to replace the headlight harnesses at the headlights when you do a H4 conversion but there is nothing to beef up the wiring harness on the steering column end. Hence my no low-beam troubles.

Since everything but the low-beams worked, I fixed it by tapping across the low-beam headlight wiring (white wire w/orange stripe & light blue wire with orange stripe) with a SPST switch (20-amp or better). Viola! Now I have low-beams again. For the switch, I just drilled a hole in the plastic to the left and below the steering column. It was either this or go to a dealer and see if I could get a new wiring harness/connector for the steering column end.
