Luk pro gold clutch

Greetings all,

I know that soon it will be time to replace my clutch.. So, I have read several threads which advise not under any circumstances should a Jeep TJ have a centerforce clutch installed as it simply isn't needed. With that, I have read several threads that speak very highly about the Luk clutches..

So, Is it worth the money to go ahead and install the Luk Pro Gold or does that clutch fall into the Centerforce clutch category? Is a standard Luk Rep Set all i will need?

I also heard that these kits are shipped with everything you need to accomplish the job..

Thanks in advance for all the input provided.

That's a pretty common question, it's my opinion that we should all just stick with the standard Luk clutch. From the little bit of research I did before deciding on the standard OE Luk clutch for my TJ 3-4 years ago before the auto conversion, I learned the Pro Gold was designed more for a truck and can be noisy when installed into a TJ. With the OE Luk clutch easily able to surpass 200K miles with decent clutch skills, there's no real reason to try for something more heavy duty.
