Making a Stinger and Winch Plate. Need some measurements.

i just bought a new welder for some projects i have in mind.

Could you please go take some measurments of either your winch plate or stinger.

-For the winch plate i would like to know how high off the bumper the hole is for the rollers and i would also like to know how big the hole is. Pictures would be great if you like.

-For the Stinger i would like to know over all length.angle of the stinger off the bumber (the cut).and angle of the actual bend. Pictures would be AWSOME

thanks alot guys. ill be sure to post some pictures when im done.

Honestly you have to do what you want, its a blank canvas and you have the brush I never make my stuff like anyone elses for that reason....Im kinda ate up with being different lol

That being said, most winch slots are about 1.25 tall and 12 wide if I remember correctly. On my crawler the stinger bar is 8 feet long single tube bent on a 2" JD2 die to 32 inches wide at the bottom and cut on a 30 degree angle.

hey bigez, here are to write ups i have found. the first one is much better than the second one but both are good for ideas on the a winch plate.i went to a little scrap yard yesterday and found what i needed. he charged me .25 cents a pound so it cost me like 5 bucks.

thanks, dude! just sent the links to the old man. pics do really help out, the old timer is definitely more of a visual learner. But he is a helluva welder.
