I have decided to go full synthetic on all my oils after doing a lot of research and checking all the numbers. Now, the question: as I have no real experience with synthetic oils, do I need to completely flush my systems before adding the fluids, or if I drive it around and give it time to warm up and then drain everything with plenty of time to evacuate the fluids, will the small amount of residue matter? If I need to flush, what is the recommended procedure and flushing fluid?
If there's a will, usually there's a way, but then you get to that bolt that you still can't get to with two extensions, two universal sockets, and a contorsionist midget trying to help you.
