mc 2100 WTD?

so i have an old motorcraft carb that has 1.21 venturis instead of the 1.08s recommended for the swap. what is the difference, and would the larger venturis size work better at higher altitudes? Thanks

The larger bores don't have the air moving as fast as a small one. Fast air mixes the fuel better.

They are better used for big bored engines that need more air.

At higher altitudes, a leaner jet is needed (smaller.) Either carb will be too rich, the AF ratio is the same.

They made an altitude compensated MC2100 - a better choice. Do a yahoo search for the model number.
It's no wonder the country is falling apart - stupidity abounds!
