I had to snatch up one of these when they came out with them. I haven't put it on yet because the hard top is on and it's been cold and raining since it arrived.
It was tough time for Barricade, coming out with their Mesh Tops when a good portion of the country is having weather isn't right for that type of top. That being said, I've seen the top in person and they're really well put together. The material is PVC coated 1000 Denier Polyester and the stitching is really solid.
Let me know if you'd like to give one of those tops a try and I'll get you a great price!
The only negative I have with my TJKini from SpiderWeb is that at night you can't really see the stars. During the day this past summer, though, I loved it as it kept things cooler, was a good window storage area on the (very) few days I had the top on and wanted to go Safari style and kept some of the rain from the dash when I didn't get the top back on before a pop up shower.
I ran this summer with the smittybilt black mesh and it was great! Keeps it comfortable, and keeps that open feel. Really no noise from the top, even at highway speeds. The only complaint is that the top faded a bit , but that is to be expected, seeing that I live in SoCal and the sun is crazy down here. Overall, great top and for the price it was well worth it!
I really like my spiderweb shade. I really like the fact that it can stay on year round with the hard top or soft top. Really don't have any complaints.
