I've been thinking about adding metal cloak fenders but I have no lift as of now ..... I was wandering y'all's opinion on what size lift will work best with metal cloaks without it looking awkward?
Thanks in advance for all the responses!!!!!!

I have a 2" BB with 31s. 35s are in my future.

But for now, it looks funny. Might have to keep it this way until I transfer out of Hawaii due to 35" tires not being covered by the 6" flares....

I have the arched fenders with 3" zone, 11/4 body and 35's. Looks like I have room for more up front but my buddy said when I was flexing I was just about maxed out. Will check when it gets warmer and I can pull the springs to see if I have room for 37's

What wheels are you running? Those are cool.

You can run 33" tires on a stock suspension with the MC fenders, however, I would recommend at least a 1 -1.25" body lift (BL), for a host of reasons.

As for the tires/wheels:

- with stock wheels you can run a 33x10.50/15 tire, very limited tire choices here though, with no issues
- if you want to run 33x12.50 tires you'll need to get new wheels

If you do get new wheels go for something that is no wider than 9", with 8 - 8.5" preferred, and with a backspacing around 4 - 4.75".

Since you didn't say what gearing or transmission you have, also keep in mind that going to a bigger tire will impact performance of the vehicle (i.e. an automatic with 3.07 gears will be doggy, whereas a manual won't be quite as negatively impacted).

FWIW, I'm currently running MC flat fenders, a 3.5" suspension lift, a 1" BL, and 35" tires. I can go to 37", Jeep is built for that, but since I daily drive it the 35" setup gives me the perfect balance I'm looking for.
