MetalCloak Lift Ordered

So, when I install this lift is it best to put the entire vehicle on jackstands or just the front, when I put on the front and rear when I do the rear lift.

Next, how high do I need to lift it, and has anyone got suggestions on jackstands that will be high enough.

Thanks,

Slim

I did my front first and I'm doing my rear now. Mine is the Metal Cloak lift too. I went to Harbor Freight an got a set of their 6 ton jack stands to put under the frame. Here is a pic of how mine is sitting in my driveway right now. My son and I took out the rear axle today.

I subscribed! Please write a review on this thread. I am saving up to get the MC lift now and would like more reviews and people with experience with the kit to tell how it is. I'll be using for my DD/weekend warrior.

My lift is finished but I'm rebuilding a Rubicon transfer case then ordering my drive shafts.

Looks great! How much lift did you end up with?

Don't know yet. I have a lot more weight to hang on it before it's finished.

Any 6 ton jack stands should do the trick. I just installed the MC lift a few weeks ago and I put both the front and rear on jack stands although you can do it however you want. I will say I'm very happy with the quality of the kit and the customer service at MC. Make sure you have a good drill and new 7/16" bits for the bump stops along with a 1/2"-13 tap and everything should go pretty smooth.

I've got MC arms, the Duroflex joints are awesome. Made my Jeep ride so much nicer. This is really aimed at post #3.

Just curious, why did you remove the rear axle?

I replaced both my front and rear with new G2 Dana 44's with 5.13 gears.
