Might be normal yall tell me

I bought this 97' tj with 5" lift and 35x12.50s, not tire wear is good and heres my problem, on our crappy roads(they are what i call rutted out) its a handfull to drive but on a newer road(not rutted out) drives great! so is this normal my 04 didnt do it but it was only rolling on 32s and a small 2" lift? im going ot check track bar tomorow at the shop but all the four link looks to be tight and fine ball joints all tight steering is double stablized and all tight. and it isnt DW if you ride in the ruts of the road it gets "squirly like its grabbing the edges of the pavement? thanks guys

It always scares me to see a "double sablized" frontend. To me its a bandaid on a gash situation. Have you checked the castor? I'm sure that 5in. of lift will kill the castor in the front end.

Sounds like shock absorbers. Had the same problem in my truck. Drove great on highway and then get on wash board and it would try to turn around in the road.. Replaced them and all is well

Oh and it did do it on my Jeep. I bought a 2 inch lift with shocks. I installed it and it was doing as you described. Contacted the lift company and they asked for the shock numbers. I had the wrong rear shocks. They sent different ones and it fixed the problem
