Mile Marker Winch

I bought a Mile Marker PE8000 for my 99 Jeep. Installed it, everything went fine, tried it out , no problems. Well the Jeep doesnt get driven a lot, third vehicle and all other excuses blah blah! A little over a year later, spooled the cable out to run it, much to my surprise, the winch is dead. Called Mile Marker, got a snotty person on the phone who told me it was my fault (maybe so) for not using it. Guess I mistakenly thought the product would last more then a year.

Anyone know where to get the solenoid box/control box for this winch. Milke Marker will not even respond to emails now. We were able to jump the circuit, the winch runs fine, it is just the electronic parts are apparently shot.

Milemarker imports all their electric winches from China, their HQ people who love their US made hydraulic winches aren't too keen on their electric models from what I hear. And what you ran into with Milemarker is why I always recommend Warn winches.

Send a PM to CCAIN here on the forum for the website address of a good source for winch solenoids I gave him a few days ago. I'm at work and don't have it with me. They sell solenoids for winches & can probably provide what you need, especially since you apparently know what your solenoids look like.

PM'd you back but not sure if you got it...

So here's the info.

This one LINK is $50 right now and is for use as a Universal set up for a winch with 3 wire connections on the winch motor.

This one LINK fits other applications and sells for about $100.

Good luck!

I'd also recommend filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau...they may not do anything (especially if the winch is no longer under warranty), but the nice thing is, you, the customer get to decide if the complaint is resolved based on their response...so if they don't satisfy you, you get to leave that nice little ding on their BBB record...which looks bad when people look their company up after a few unresolved complaints.
