Minimum for 33's

Can I fit 33x10.5x15's on stock Canyon wheels with bb or will I need to add body lift? Also am I correct in thinking that with 10.5 wide tires I won't need to change wheels with different bs? Or should I just go with 32's?

To run 33s with stock flares and no body lift, you need 2" extended bumpstops and to adjust the steering stops.

The generally recommended approach is a 2"-2.5" lift, 1' body lift, 1" motor mount lift, and maybe 1" extended bumptops--plus, adjust the steering stops.

With a 2"-2.5" lift on a TJ without a SYE/driveshaft/rear upper adjustable control arms, you most often have to add a transfer case drop to avoid rear driveshaft vibrations. A less expensive way to deal with this without having to lower your transfer case skid is to install a 1" motor mount lift and 1" body lift at the same time.

So yes, you can do it without the BL/MML if you add 2" extended bumpstops when you do the 2" BB with a 1/2"-1" transfer case drop. However, the BB, BL, MML is a better approach.

May 32s risk being too wide and rubbing the rear upper spring perches unless you run wheel spacers or a rear adjustable trackbar to center your axle.

I got 33x11.50 on my jeep with a rough country 2.5inch lift.....and dont rub...

Koda Did you have to change your wheels? Are they something with a different back spacing?

the biggest tire you can fit with a Budget Boost alone is 31x10.50R15.

to add bigger tires you need more lift and/or more bumpstop extension.

To fit 33s with the budget boost you'll need to add a 1" Body lift, 1-2" front bumpstop extension and 2" rear bumpstop extension.

The lift I have is 2" spacers, 2" bumpstop extensions, 1" transfer case spacer and longer shocks. And extended quick disconnect swaybar links. Totally confused....

2" bumpstop extensions front and rear? or just rear?

the 1" t-case spacer is not necessary on your LJ, and has no bearing on tire size.

disagree... have a good friend that has been running 32 inch BFGs on a Budget Boost (Rubicon Express) and even quick disconnects... plenty of flex

you can disagree and talk about "flex" all you want, but what matters is what happens at the bumpstops.

I'm running 31s on my stock rims ('04 LJ) with no lift right now and I have plenty of room. With a 2" spacer lift I wouldn't go bigger than 32s on your stock rims with stock flares. You CAN fit 33s on it with different rims but the problem is that you'll shred your flares pulling into your driveway. You can run the Bushwacker flat style flares with 33s and lessen that problem but you still won't have enough room for much articulation with the 2"BB and 33s. Don't worry about the T-case drop on the LJ, that isn't an issue with that amount of lift.

yup a 1" BL will help, but 2" bumpstop extension front and rear will fit 33s.

I'm not a suspension expert, but I'm pretty sure they're also what stops your tire from eating your fender if your tire doesn't have enough room for the suspension to fully flex with the factory bump stops.

Yes, as well as saving your shocks, w/o bumpstops your shock could become the limiting factor with axle articulation. Bottoming out your shock with the weight of the axle/wheel can be a bad thing. The same goes with a full compression. I've finished a trail run with only three shocks due to a busted rear shock mount before. It was, um, interesting.

x2. Bumpstops serve several important functions.
1. prevent suspension/steering/drivetrain interferences
2. prevent shocks from bottoming out
3. prevent coil bind
4. prevent tire/fender interferences

notice tire clearance issues are on the bottom of the list.

Thanks all for the input!!! Just to recap i should be able to fit the tire i have listed on stock Canyon wheels with lift I have listed. And a 1" bl would just be insurance?
