Mirror Question

Im looking to buy mirror replacement brackets and i was wondering if I could take apart my factory mirrors and mount them to the brackets and if not what mirrors do i need to buy.

you can get brackets to mount your factory mirrors on. I have the rugged ridge on mine and they do the job. If you do mostly street driving i would get a little more expensive ones, they work great for off road but on the streets your mirrors shake bad. not a real problem with mine since it spends most the time in the garage unless i go wheeling.

For 97-02 relocation brackets, you remove the mirror and stem and put them on the bracket. 03-06 do not come apart and you mount the whole mirror on a paddle like bracket. They look very odd (read bad)

I had a 97-02 relocation bracket, it was cheaper to buy used 97-02 mirrors on eBay , than the new brackets cost for the 04.. My 04 mirrors just stay on the door.. eBay is a wonderful thing .. Just a thought...
