Mirror relocation and lights

Ok I want to get the bracket to relocate the mirrors but I also want to get a bracket to mount lights aside the windshield almost in the same spot where the mirrors would be. Is there a special bracket that will allow both or is it kind of like one or the other? Thanks.

I think you could buy both and take them to a local mig welder and have him weld the two together. But my mirror brackets are held inplace more by the countersunk edges then the actual bolt hole size. If the light brackets are the same way, if you put 2 of these together I think 1 might end up slipping. Like I say though a local welder could fix this in just a couple minutes and pretty cheap. All you would have to do is touch up the paint and you would be good to go.

Well we can weld it here. I was thinking of just stacking the plates because both of the brackets mount to the same 2 screw holes. Just place the light bracket against the body and then the mirror bracket on top of the light bracket and then screw back on. Just getting ideas! I can't wait for some money!

On mine the hole is larger then the bolt and its held more by the countersink (this is on the mirrors btw) if the hole on the light bracket was the right size (ie: just a smidge bigger then the bolt) then it would work with no problems as long as the light bracket was mounted first.

Hopefully I'm following you correctly. I've got a bracket on mine that I can mount my lights and my mirrors on. I got it at JC Whitney. Give it a look online and see if that is what you are looking for. I have been very satisified with the setup I have.

Best doorless mirrors EVER

I have these, and have used them for a long time. Love them.

Question Mirror relocation

I bought these combo mirror relocation/light brackets and installed them on our 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport. Everything fit and worked just fine. Until I moved the mirrors. I can't even see the passenger side mirror when I have the doors on. Did I miss something?

yeah, when you put the doors on, you're supposed to move the mirrors back to the doors, not leave them on the bracket.

I'd say that'd be a PITA. I just have 2 separate brackets.

kind of tough to see though...

mirrors

Way too much trouble. Maybe if I could put wing nuts on the bottom of the mirrors for quicker relocation. Or if I could adjust the passenger side mirror so I could see it through the windshield. Or just get a second pair of CJ type mirrors with longer arms when I change the doors.

Solution??

This is what I'm going to do----I've mounted the combo mirror relocation/light brackets. I'm going to try mounting some motorcyle mirrors (good selection at motorhelmets.com http://www.motorhelmets.com/htm1/bodyparts-mirrors.htm ) to the brackets (thanks to TJGreg for the idea). It might take some tweaking by bending the shafts to the correct angle. If this works, I'll just leave them on all the time and forget about the original mirrors on the doors. I'll let you know how this works.
