Mirror Specs

I took the doors off the Jeep today, and rigged a little assembly for my rig, rather than buying relocation brackets. What I was wondering if there's any specifications as to your mirrors to make it street legal? My driver side mirror is fine, but I can barely see my passenger mirror, much less use it. Functionality doesn't concern me, as when I'm topless I normally just look, rather than use my mirrors anyway, but am I gonna get hemmed up by the law?

You should only need the drivers side anyway. I'm not aware of any state that requires three rear view mirrors. Back in the good old days, a passenger side mirror was an option.

So does this mean that as long as my rear view mirror is uninstructed I don't even need side mirrors? Because that's what I'm reading it as.
