Mirrors

What do you guys use for mirrors when you take your doors off? I don't really want relocation brackets, don't like the look of them. I have found clamp on mirrors, mirrors that slip in the hinge, and even people who use old Harley Davidson Long Stem mirrors.. any thoughts?

PS - Just got my Jeep, thats why I'm wondering! THANKS!

There is a write up for this homemade solution on 4x4 Explore

There are also several aftermarket mirrors that fit in the open hinge or re-locator brackets out there. I made a pair like those above for less than $20.

I pulled my stock ones off and installed CJ mirrors. CJ mirrors kinda suck though....

I would do something different if I did it again.

I don't use any. State Laws here in AZ say that you only need 1 mirror that will let you see at least (I can't remember if it's 25 or 250) feet behind you.

Unfortunately in NY you have to have at least a Drivers side mirror.. I know friends that have never had problems w/out using any.. but I still would rather not take the chance..

Thanks to Unlimited for the cheap fix as well!!

I also did the homeade write up, works good for now, but I am going to have to figure something different out when I get my full soft doors for summer. I really dont want to have to stop and break out 2 wrenches and install 2 mirrors everytime I want to take the doors off/on. Its getting annoying enough doing it now every couple days

I bought soft doors to run this summer, and will probably use something like this: Link
