Missing hardtop connector.

I was gifted a 2000 TJ Sport that was originally a soft-top, but the owner had subsequently put an appropriate factory Wrangler hardtop on it (probably to save his hearing!). The rear window washer and electric window defroster were not hooked up, however, when I received ownership of it; the connector dangles inside it's crevice on the left rear of the top. However, I can't seem to find the mating connector anywhere near that spot underneath the carpeting in the channelways.

If ordered with a soft-top, is the TJ wired for a hardtop anyway? If so, would the connectors for the toggle switch in the dash be also present (if not easy to get to)?

Thanks,

Jon

Yeah, No. If a soft top came from the factory and no hard top. Then there is no wiring.

For the switches look behind the console and see if their there. I cannot guarantee they will be. One will be black (defrost) white (wiper) and grey (fog)

Yes the hardtop will be wired, but not the jeep.

Check Jeepsareus for a harness, relays, switches and the such.

Good Luck

Softtop models were not wired. You have to add it as indicated above.
