Mml bl tcd?

I have a 3.25 suspension lift with a TC drop that I hate. I would like to do a 1" BL and was wondering if I do a 1" MML as well if that would eliminate the need for the TC drop?

Probably not... It would lessen the angle of the driveshaft at the upper ujoint but wouldn't do anything for the lower ujoint. Why not get a SYE with DC driveshaft and adjustable control arms to remove the TC drop and even allow a high clearance skid

So if I added just a 1" MML I would still have have the TCD? My goal is to lose the TCD

You'd still need the TC drop. Maybe not as much, but you'd still need it. I had mine dropped about 3/8" with a 3" SL and still had vibes. I didn't think I did until I installed the SYE/CV driveshaft.

So the only way to lose the TCD is to to a SYE and shaft.....If that's the case who has the best deals out there? I know Tom Woods is the best for the shaft.... Is there a combo out there for under $500???

FWIW have an OME SL and 1.25 BL and 1.25 MML....problem/ confusion comes from the FACT that the OME lift gives more than the 2.5" advertised.

I realize that you have almost .75" more lift but when we did the BL and MML I was able to remove the TCD that was added when the OME SL was installed.

Biggest problem / hassle was readjusting the TC shifter...Good Luck!!! but yeah SYE and tummy tuck coming next year.

Savvy has an AA SYE/TW CV driveshaft combo for $525. Once you add in your discount it'll be under $500.

Just a thought, brown dog motor mout lifts make a 2" MML that requires no additional modification IIRC. You still may be better off with the Double cardan shaft. I have a 2" lift and with a 1" MML still needed nearly a 1" TCD.

Also, you do not need a body lift for a 1" MML

How hard of a job is it to install the SYE? The shaft is easy but how many hours for the SYE with a lift and the right tools? Anything else I will need to complete the job?

You will need adjustable rear upper control arms as well to adjust your pinion angle after the SYE is in. Without this the SYE and DC shaft could be useless. I still had to have a TC drop on my jeep with a 3.5" lift until I got some savvy arms.

Price keeps going up looking @ $800+++ to do it the right way wish there was an alternative way of loosening this TCD

Still doing research on this but I've read you can get a UCF LoPro transmission mount and it will take away the need for a SYE and DS. Plus later down the road after you do the SYE it gives you more room to tuck. It looks like it runs over 100$...cheaper option of it works

Was reading up on this sounds like its a pretty good idea that will increase ground clearance would like to hear a little more about it if anyone with it would like to chime in

Not sure which you are asking about...but if after you lift your TJ you stand about 6-8 feet away and look at it from the side...you will notice this HUGE HONKIN" SHOVEL hanging down in the center of the Jeep. It is your skid plate, and to raise/ change or move it to do a TT (tummy tuck) you need the SYE...and me being me if I am gonna be without my Jeep while I get this done...I am gonna regear and get a locker for the rear at the same time....so the $800 job just went to close to $3K....I can get by till than...maybe another 6-8 months...or tax time.
