Moab here I come!

So I am off to Moab tomorrow. I will be wheeling solo so I can't go crazy. I am looking for trails that have cool ruins or abandon history stuff. I will be hitting Chicken Corners and some other scenic trails. May even meet some people from this forum too. Thanks in advanced.

I am heading to Colorado Saturday for a family event, however we are taking the BMW. This thread makes me want to fork over the extra gas money though and take the Jeep. If I had more time, it would have been cool to meet you there.
Wheel safe and have fun!!

Well I will be there today. Look for a white Jeep with a white soft top and say hello. I am yet to see a Jeep like mine.

have fun in Moab. I was there in June. JCF and Barrie in Moab both live in Moab. You can find Barrie at the Moab Diner eating breakfast and drinking coffee. He is not difficult to miss. He will be the only person in the diner with a new england accent.

Just got back from Moab last night. It was a great trip. It was great to meet you Barrie, Julie & Jeff. We will all have to do some trails when it cools down a bit. I got some great pictures that I will post when I have a minute.

Beautiful place isn't it? Most talk about the trails, but the scenery doesn't get enough mention.

I just got back from there on the 23rd. Was hotter than hell in the afternoon, but wheelin' was possible from 7am-noon.

I did the 3D Jeep Trail and found it excellent. The slick rock out there provides amazing traction. Tried the Secret Spire trail but lost it in a wash about halfway through and couldn't pick it up going out, so we had to turn around.

I highly recommend a wade in Faux Falls out above Ken's Lake, since it's so hot. That water is COLD.

A bad day in Moab is better than a good day most other places. It was a lot of fun and I even met some people from the forum. It was hot, but that is what A/C is for. Oh yea and I always bring my GPS as some of the trails are not as defined as I would like. I hit Sego Canyon on the way home so I may post some Indian carvings and paintings later.
