More Power

I have just put 33 12.50 tires on my 99 wrangler with 4.0 and was wondering what would give me a little more power. I have put on the T/B spacer plate.

Swap out gears or put on the old wheels and tires.... That's about it. Unless of course you want to drop in a V8, and then you'd probably still want lower gears....

Like the others said - gears. Upgrade to 4.56 ratio. It would also be a good time to do lockers. And welcome to WF!

i have a 97 tj sport 4.0 on 33x12.5x15 tires with a 4.5 long arm lift. have a lowered gear ratio 4:10 has some nice power in 1st and 2nd gear. i would suggest lockers too. i have a arb air locker (front) and a detroit locker (rear) hope that helps, its similar to your jeep.

Gears are where you will see the performance come back. You can add headers, a cat back system and intake for about $1000... and you will hardly notice much difference.

Gears would give you the most bang for your buck.

Assuming you started life with 3.07 gears, that would really suck. Even 3.73 would be uninspiring. The issue isn't really power, it's that you took away a lot of the mechanical advantage of your gearing when you made the stock gears turn a longer lever (larger tire diameter). 33/4.56 would be a very nice combination and what I'd run with a 5-speed; 33/4.10 would be workable on a 3-speed auto, though I'd probably just run the 4.56 anyway with the auto.
