Definitely go rubber, poly transmits engine vibes back into the passenger compartment way too well. Rubber will outlast the Jeep so no worries about longevity.

1" taller motor mounts tilt the drivetrain (engine/tranny/t-case) so the angle at the u-joint between the t-case and driveshaft is reduced. When you have a small lift that has produced drivetrain vibrations, installing a 1" motor mount lift can sometimes cure the vibes in a manner similar to how a t-case drop works. Sometimes people will recommend it for body lifts too so the fan height matches the higher height of the fan shroud but I'd rather just lower the fan shroud.

By the way, I've had both rubber and vibe-producing poly engine mounts and it was nice to go back to rubber after the poly mounts broke where they were welded together.

As far as motor mounts I have the poly 1" mounts and have no vibes from them but I did put in a poly trans mount and then teeth chattering vibes so I went back with the OEM trans mount and all was good again.I am glad I didn't do both at the same time because I would have thought the poly motor mounts would transfer more vibe then the tranny mount but not the case.This is the motor mounts C2572-1 Jeep 1" MML, Long-Life Poly
