Motor Swap

I'm doin a motor swap in my 04 Rubicon. That being said, i have done a lot of research. I already hit up novak, hotwireauto, and burnsville offroad for parts listings and pricings. Now my question is what motor would be the best fit? I know i have to make new motor mounts regardless of the one i choose, but anyone have any experience/preferences in the new motor choice? i'm goin for v8, most likely a hemi 5.7 . any info would help so i dont end up like this 2 months from now Thanks!!

The best way to do a motor swap is to go to a junk yard and find a complete motor trans, wiring harness. Then you can rebuild the motor. This will make your life a lot easier.

the 5..7 hemi is an excellent choice. they are resonable to buy and pretty easy to find in salvage yards. They are far more dependale than a ls2 mouse engine.

no matter what v8 package you decide on it won't be cheap! I probably have almost $4000.00 into my 5.3/4l60e swap, and thats just parts. I've done all the labor myself, but it is definitely worth the power.
