Moving from CA to MD

I was just wondering what kind of stuff I need to loom out for. I'm moving for work from southern CA to MD. I know there will be an auto inspection and stuff. What else do I need to know or look out for?

The first thing you want to look for is a shrink. Why would anybody leave southern California to live in Maryland? That having been said, you will have to have your vehicle inspected, initially, to get tags in Maryland. They will check all of your lights, pull off a front and rear wheel for brakes, your horn, windshield for cracks, wiper blades, body for rust holes, steering, etc. After that, you will have emissions inspections every 2 years in certain counties. You didn't specifiy where in Maryland you will be. The western counties of Allegeny and Garrett don't require emissions and some on the eastern shore don't either. If you are going to be near B-more or DC, or Montgomery County, you will experience horrendous traffic at times, but you are probably used to that. You won't find many places to go four wheeling, if that's your deal. And, oh yeah, democrats out the wazoo, but you should be used to that also. Give me a PM if you want and I'll try and help you get acclimated, you may experience culture shock depending on where in Maryland you are going. UR

You need to learn how to eat blue crabs and drink beer at the same time.

A lot of states do not allow the tires to stick out past the fenders.

In this economy just be glad to have a job. Oh yea and I am pretty sure the gun laws cannot be any worse in Maryland than California. I heard I cannot even have my SKS is Cali. Nice to visit, but you can keep California. No offense to anyone there as I am sure it suits them fine, but I will just drop my tourist dollars there a couple times a year and go home. I also love the Civil war stuff so that is another reason I like Maryland. Not much civil ware stuff in Cali. Ha ha.
