"hey I get bad gas mileage" and they respond with "oh that's the Fuel injectors" before suggesting to Check the simple things first like check the spark plugs and gap, change the cap and rotor, check for vacuum leaks, clogged Air filter, Fuel Pressure check, Clogged exhaust, or checking to see if the engine has thrown a code in the past that is still stored in the computer? Simple inexpensive things someone can do before we get to changing the O2 sensors.

No problem, I get punchy sometimes and have a tendency to let my fingers run faster than my mind. I understand what you are saying about people jumping to often expensive repair suggestions. Like any problem, it is always best to try to eliminate the cheap, easy fixes, before just throwing money at it hoping that solves the problem. It took alot to break my heavy skinny pedal habit after getting my jeep. I was used to fast cars before joining the jeep world. The most important thing I have learned is that each jeep is different and with all of the variables with different mods it can be hard to narrow down a problem sometimes. And one persons fix may not work for everyone.
