mpg sound right?

Im gettin 9.75 mpg with my 3.5 lift and 32 inch a/t tires.... 4cyl 4.0 does this sound right? of should i be gettin atleast 10?

I havent changed my o/2 sensors or my air filter in awhile though

im gettin 144 miles to 15 gallons

Does the 4 liter auto have 3.08s or 3.73s. In either case at 9.75 mpg you must have too much tire for the combo.

Again, this is my opinion, and I hate to sound like a broken record, but gears are the answer. Go to 4.56s or 4.88s and you will thank yourself every time you drive it,

when you changed to the 32s did you replace the gear on the speedometer/odometer??

3.5 lift and 33's here and getting about 17 on the freeway and 15 in town last time I checked it. Still running the stock 3.73's also.

right on your miles will be reading low if you didnt regear or put ina new speedo gear, i cant remember where the calculator is, but im sure a search would give you one, to know how much your off by

For comparsion I get @14mpg with 35's and 4.56's....5pd

your speedo will be off by 10.3 % so if u think ur getting 9.75 your actaully getting 10.76, not a huge differnce, but still puts you over ten, and almost ot 11

the odometer is even worse than the speedo. i'm still wondering if he changed the gear though

all stock gears ....still waitin on finding a used dana 44 be4 i change my gears cause then Ill be runing 35's

So you didnt change the speedometer gear? Its a little plastic gear that goes into the back of the tcase

That is your problem. The tires spin slower so the odometer counts slower so you are going let say 180 miles and the odometer is only reading 150 or whatever...
