I'm getting it painted this week. I'm thinking satin black. Thoughts?
I'm also considering painting the tan interior panels to black too. Those of you that have done this, does it look good and hold up? Or should I just leave it stock?
I like the M/T wheels but they look old. Considering painting them too. What do you guys think? Also, if I do this, how to I do preparation on wheels? I'm planing to use Krylon outdoor paint.
Lastly, I'm planning to run 4 running lights on the bottom of the bumper, 2 fog lamps on the middle bumper, and 2 long range lights on mirror relocation brackets. Thoughts?
I'm getting the inside rhino lined. Ordered black coverking seat overs for front and back from coverking. I've got oscar mike stars for the sides and a big star for the hood. Getting 35's later this year.
Do you all like these ideas or have any other recommendations?
Nice jeep. I would may just do some of the interior pcs and no way I would paint those alum wheels if you want the to shine use mother alum mag polish. If you want them dull use scotchbright pad with wd-40. Jeep will look good in a matte black.
Thanks! The wheels would definitely look better polished. The center caps have some rust tho. How can I clean that?
. Mother's makes a good chrome polish too, worst case I think you could probably pick up a set on eBay if they didn't clean up. Make sure you get the mother's aluminum mag polish. You will be amassed how good they will come up.

The Jeep is still in the body shop. I should get it back anytime. Good friends of mine are doing the work and they're giving me a hell of a deal, BUT it usually takes a while. I've got my dealers license so this little "hobby" of fixing up jeeps for me is actually turning into more of a business. The black jeep is the 3rd "project" this year. I do hope to keep it for a while though, but after I bought my first jeep this year, people kept wanting to buy it! It was crazy.
The only progress lately has been fixing the seats and painting all the accessories like the fender flares and interior pieces (except for the tan interior). I built a metal grid like what is already in the bottom of the drivers and passenger seat, added more foam, and then put solid black smittybuilt seat covers on. Surprisingly, it came out a lot better than I thought and the seats are much more comfortable. I'll post a pic of the seat later today.
As for the lights on the front. They are cheap. I wanted something basic to see how they looked before I invested in anything that's really good quality. I was actually impressed with how nice they were. Great deal and decent quality. I got them at Harbor Freight and the model # is 37349.
The wheels on the Sahara are 17" Fuel wheels and the tires are 33/12.5/17 Nittos. They look good and ride good. I'm gonna put those on my black jeep and go w a mostly all black look. The lift on the Sahara is a 4" Skyjacker. I like it, but I'll probably go w Zone next time. From what I've read, Zone is the best quality for the price when you've got a budget.
I'll have updates soon. I've learned a lot from the Forum and I'm always gonna have a Jeep from here on out!
