Woah, good to know. I have a '97 and it has a hard time starting. Do I just go to the Jeep website to request my build sheet?

Yep..... customerassist@chrysler.com. If you search here there was a page that asked for all your vin, mileage, address, alot of stuff... They sent me a confirmation email then like two days later they sent my build sheet.... Very easy :-)

It won't fix the hard start issue. All they put in is a different float arm that reads lower sooner. They had issues with some saying you had a 1/4 tank when you were actually empty. They only change the sending unit. Had the same done on my 97 soon after I bought it.

I was curious also on a different note though. My build sheet says I have a 19 gallon tank. Well right when I touch E the red on my gauge, I would fill up and I would on put in close to 15 gallons. That sounds kind of opposite of what your saying. Confused,

Sounds about right to me. Mine has gone of with over 6 gallons still in, fuel gauges are not accurate in our Jeeps.

Darn it I've been emailing them and asking one question at a time, I had no idea I could get the whole build sheet.

I never thought they would consider a wrangler's steering as rack and pinion!

I didn't even notice that part, a 97 with rack and pinion? How com my 2001 has a gearbox and not rack and pinion?

You mean on this forum? Would it be as detailed as the one he got or just everyone chiming in their opinions about it?
