my cd player wont take my cd's

I have a factory cd player and when I try to put in a cd it makes the sound like it is taking it but it wont budge, it worked perfectly until I put a cd in and pulled it back out as it was being accepted, oops , I trieddisconnecting the battery and that didn't work, are there any tricks?

I don't know. Is there a tiny reset button on there anywhere? The kind you have to push with a pen or toothpick? I've had some aftermarket radios that had one but I'm not sure a factory radio would have one.

Put the cd up to the slot then hit it with a 3lb hammer. It should go in then. I can't guarantee it will come back out but I know it will go in!

check this website out it might help. you have to pay to use the site but it might be cheaper then buying a whole new cd player. ALLDATAdiy.com :: Leading Source of Diagnostic and Repair Information

Hey, if it's the original CD player that came in the jeep it will only play new shop bought CD'S and most definately a limited number of recorded CD'S!
I have a similar problem with my unit!
U.S CD player does not recognise some cheap Asian quality CD'S!
Hope that helps...

i have no idea what a 100 ton linkbelt is, but if it weighs that much it sounds like you showed that cd player
