My gagues all stopped working! Help!

Hello Fellow Forum Members,

So yesterday, my wife and I did some off roading in the mountains here in Colorado. We were rocking for a good 3 hours. Right as we are ending our fun, all of the gagues stopped working. Including the MPH, Gas, Oil pressure, Battery, the odometer, everything. I checked the fuses and everything seemed to be ok. The Jeep drives perfectly still but I got nothing from the gagues. Any ideas why? What should I do? Thanks in advance!

Make fist
hit fist on top of gauge cluster. Not with plastic shattering force, just gauge start working again force.

If that works take out the gauges and clean the electrical connections... actually do that regardless of if the fist thing works or not.

I'd check all the electrical connections as stated. It just takes a bump to knock one lose.

Follow these instructions, 99.9% sure it will work about every 1 1/2 to 2 years I have to pull my gage cluster out and clean. Vibration and dust will cause this

Mine will occasionally go nuts-so as if I am being abducted by aliens. I too need to clean my cluster connections one of these days.

Haven't had the problem, but while I was replacing the instrument cluster lights, I gave all the contacts a good looking and then put some electrolytic grease on them. Couldn't hurt- -
