My latest project

I am in the process of preparing for a 3 week long camping/wheeling adventure through the southwest and after a quick overnight trip I realized that I needed to address the issue of storage space. Since we have a dog I decided to make a tonneau cover out of 3/4" plywood so I could fit the cooler and camping supplies underneath and put the dog on top. All in all it was a pretty easy project and it only cost me about $50-60 in supplies. Here are some pictures.

Padding

My first attempt at upholstering

Dog tested and approved!

It looks good! I like the idea, and the dog. Where about are you wheeling in the sw?

Thanks! It's not perfect but it will be great for what I need. I live in Tucson and plan on going up through Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Moab (not really sure where all to hit in Utah yet), Great Dunes Nat'l Park in Colorado, and then up to Denver. My mom lives in Denver so the wife and I are going to stay with her for a week or two and then we will head back to Tucson. We leave for Del Rio, TX July 1st so we may not have a lot of time to stop on the way back home. We are leaving Denver on June 22nd to head back.
