Wd-40 Rust release spray or a rust-penetrating spray on all the bolts... before you start removing the stock axle.....

Great find!!!

Are you going to paint it? I did the exact thing the past few weeks. Bought a Dana 44 all rusty from a nice guy on here, sanded it all down, replaced bearings (easy because I already had it apart to clean it), put new brakes on, and painted it. Clean out the axle tubes and differential with brake cleaner thoroughly at the least. Just put it in last weekend with no problems.

Day I got it: http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/...ps58fffb39.jpg

After paint was done: http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/...psb778a3df.jpg
