Nice! I could not afford replacing the rear tires all the time and paying for the speeding tickets.

LOVE IT! Love the stock look for sure! Please please PLEASE don't go the route of all the Mach 1 owners and add the spoiler and 500 rims. It kills me that so many people molest these beauties into Boss 351 clones or make them all look the same. My fiancee's family owns about 12 classic stangs from 65 to 71 and I play with them all the time. They have a 71 Boss 351 clone that I am dying to restore to a normal Mach 1 in all it's beauty. Awesome car! Oh and just in case you haven't checked them out before, go to Coker Tire's website!! Bo

Keep it stock?

Kinda funny to hear guys that are constantly thinking about the next mod for their jeep say something like "Keep it stock."

Nice Ford ya got there...sorry but I can't bring myself to call anything after a 69 a mustang. I owned a 65 coupe and a 67 fastback. They started getting bigger in 70 and lost some of the mystique for me.

As for keeping it stock, if its a numbers matching car then definitely keep it stock for the value. Otherwise, slap some custom paint, headers and a pair of glaspacks on it and go hunting corvettes.

That's a beauty. My first car was a '72 fastback sprint model. I got a 800 dollar reckless driving ticket in it. Police measured my burnout mark at 128 feet.

Actually a rear spoiler and 500's were options on all mach 1s , not just the boss 351

And yeah I'm gonna add it and ram air!!! I'm keeping the moonie wheels though

Awesome! If I hadn't lost my job a year ago I would have been buying a 1970 Mach 1 this Spring! I've had 13 Mustangs ranging in age from 1965 to 2007 but the best one was my 2004 Mach 1 (by the way, my username is based on that Mach 1). Congrats!

Oh I know. It looked weird the way I phrased it. The 500's came on many other cars too. I just meant that every car show I go to the Mach's, Mach clones, and Boss clones are all starting to look identical with their paint schemes, spoilers, ram air hood, and 500's. I love the moonie wheels!! I just meant I love classic cars and don't want to see every fast back made into an Elanor and such. I just dig your car!

As for the not modding classic cars comment for someone who mods the crap out of their Jeep...GUILTY

Had a couple of 'Stangs, but they were of a lesser generation. Both were '79s, one a turbo 4 Cobra, the other had a heart transplant and ended up capable of low 13s. It started with a turbo 4 also, but developed problems. I also owned a '64 Merc Comet at the time, and it ponied up (no pun intended) it's engine and tranny to the Mustang. Easiest engine swap ever! All bolt in!

Being a member, you are more than welcome to do just that.

OklahomaTJ Thanks for sharing. I'm a lover of the classics myself. I just spent the last 4 days watching those amazing time machines race.
