My new Trunk!!

My biggest problem with my Jeep, has been not having a place to keep stuff locked up and safe. I had planned to remove the back seat, and purchase some diamond plate, and make a cover area for the back, that could be accessed by the tailgate. As I was looking for diamond plate scraps, I came across this box. I found it on Craigslist, and it was very cheap! I removed the seat and brackets, and then used the bracket holes to mount the box. There are three small pieces of wood (marine plywood) cut, to help keep the box from sitting metal to metal. The box fits almost perfectly, it's just a smidgen wide, after wrestling with it for a short while, it squeezed in! I now have a perfect lockable trunk area!

BTW: The box is a UWS tool chest!

That is a great find! Does it have a model number or could you give dimensions? Thanks.

Thanks, I believe the dimensions are 36x19x18. It fits snugly where the rear seat would go. I believe this is the one I have, but as I didn't purchase mine brand new, I'm not totally sure.
