My new Wrangler

Hello guys/girls.

My wife and I just purchased our first Wrangler.
It is a 2002 Wrangler X edition. The jeep was built for show, and has never seen winter, off-road. Cant tell from the pics but the thing is squeeky clean, inside and out. Has won a few shows...ect.

Mods that I know of:
Rubicon Express Lift
488 gears
MT Wheels with lockers
Interco 35x12.5x15 Tires
KC lights
RockCrawling Underbod lights
CAI
Banks stainless steel header back exhaust
Customer bored throttle body
4.0 engine
Bushwacker fender flares
Sony indash and speakers
Custom fab jeep tail gate off 72' jeep truck

I plan to not use this jeep on the road that much...might lift it a little more and get bigger tires... add a winch and lockers...and make it a good off-road vehicle.

Any comments and suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks

Tyler

Thanks.

Any suggestions on lockers for it? All my buddiest that wheel tell me im going to want them. I know they arent great on the road... maybe just rear? I would prefer it to be DECENT on the road, seeing ive got to drive to a lot of the trails...

Thanks in advance

Nice Jeep. Welcome to WF.

If you are looking for a streetable locker, ARB or OX. Any higher than 35's and you're looking at some serious cash.

ARB lockers for sure. on the road you cant even tell they are there because they are open diffs unless you lock them!

If you want to play, you have to pay.

If you keep it strickly off-road, you can get much cheaper locker setups.

If it's an X, I would suggest finding a different rear axle, or getting some spare axle shafts and the tools to change them to keep with you at all times.

I have Aussie lockers front and rear and I do just fine. Around $500 for the pair. Might also consider beefing up the steering linkage. It also wouldn't hurt to trade/sell those Bushwackers for some stock flares. You'll crack those, and it's easier to get money out of them in good shape, than it is when they are all busted up; unless of course you live in one of those states that require a certain amount of fender coverage over the tires.

I wouldn't lift it any taller, and I wouldn't go bigger on the tires. Much more than you have and you will be out $$$$$$$$

Aside from that, just start putting a bunch of steel all over it.

Are you sure it isn't wired to anything else? Like, maybe the high beams or something crazy.

Well ive got two diff switched mounted on my dash. One for the upper lights, and one for the kcs on the front bumper. Both switches are brand new and light up when u turn them on, so they are getting power, but the bumper kcs arent working. Bad bulbs maybe? Both go bad at same time though?

Time to invest in an el cheapo Radio Shack voltmeter and trace the circuit. See if you have power at the lights and work backwards through the cicuit.

^ X2 Theres only so many things that would keep the lights from working, just follow the wireing and if its all fine then it pretty much has to be the bulbs.
