My newest JEEP project

This is my 02 JEEP Apex I bought wrecked back in April of last year. It was hit above the front bumper no frame damage. The grille, hood, both fenders damaged. The body shifted forward because of the 3" body lift. It looked worse than it was. When i got all my parts in it took 4 days to get the parts painted and put back together. Had to get a new radiator and air conditioner compressor. Had to replace a couple of broke vacuum lines. It must have belonged to a collage kid. It had collage parking stickers on the windshield. My buddy Spyder let me use his garage for most of the rebuild. The interior was nasty! My wife cleaned on it while we took care of the outside. It had a 3" body lift and 2" spacer lift with 35x12.50 bfg mud tires. They were about half tread. I was going to buy it fix it and sell it but i got pretty attached to it now and so has my family. I've made alot of changes to since these pics. I'll update as soon as i can download from camera. I got into this for $3,500 plus parts. Around $5,000 after parts and paint. My buddy Spyder done the paint work for free. This is JEEP #7 and now my everyday driver. Replaced the 2" spacer kit with 4" zone lift. 3" body lift coming out soon and putting a 2" body lift in. Maybe 1" don't know yet. Anyway I'll update soon. I'm new to the forum. I've been around JEEPS my whole life. Love em. Nice to share my projects and get info from other fellow JEEPERS.

Thanks, it is definantly a work in progress. I started checking local junkyards for parts and was really surprised by the stuff people leave on their jeeps after they have been wrecked. You can make some good finds sometimes.

Just now doing this with my 01 that I bought wrecked. Young man rolled it 2 days after he bought it. Took out both fenders, both doors and windshield frame. Still at the body shop getting everything lined back up and I am having him grind/sand off the ryno liner and paint the whole jeep. Old school body man who is a one man operation so it takes him a little extra time but I know it will be spot on perfect when he is done. Hope to get it back first of June. Congrats on bringing one that was wrecked back to life. Some people frown at us who do this, but to me its a great way to enjoy these great vehicles. Saves them from the crusher as well

I agree. This is the third one I've rebuilt. I never buy em with frame damage. Just body damage. Hope you get yours going soon. Bring em back to life!
