Born and raised in Rochester... It's Brockport, are you really surprised? A lot of great people out there but mostly
douchebags!

Sorry to hear though man. Thieves should all die! My jeep gets ravaged a lot. I find my boxes emptied all the time when I come out to her. I never leave anything of much value in it.

Do u have a lockbox trunk? I use that if I ever take the top off away from home.

Yeah I just moved out here from rochester lol so I don't know I heard that the people that go to school are scummy and steal a lot but idk just a horrid thing to do. I wish I owned a lockbox ill probably end up getting one eventually whenever I get the dough kinda doing the paycheck to paycheck deal but it'll happen eventually

I had that happen to me by a fellow jeeper. Pulled up to a grocery store in west palm beach, and another jeep pulled up and parked next to me. I said hello to the guy and went inside. When I got out, my driver side window was gone, and so was the other jeep. Really ticked me off that I said hi to the jerk!

Sorry to hear about your loss seanbateman7

First Lesson learned: NEVER trust ANYONE !

From experience, I wouldn't be too quick to point the finger at a fellow jeep owner (although its not out of the realm of possibilities.)

Every scumbag and Junkie (and by junkie I mean the kind that collects scrap metal and cashes it in for {a-hem} a living), out there knows that Jeep parts are worth good money to sell on Craigslist, E-bay, scrap yards, or locally. They're well aware of the money that we put into our Jeeps and that it's little more that an erector set that we zip, snap, and "one or two bolt" expensive things onto!

Willy's, AMC, and Chrysler's security team was obviously absent in the creation of all CJ's YJ's and TJ's. No trunks, Rubber hood latches on the outside, door locks? Why have them with a soft top?

Over the years I have taken numerous complaints from Jeep owners about stolen parts; Windows, entire tops, spare tires, tires and rims, full doors, half doors, catalytic converters! (and thats a big one, we recently had a local dealership get hit and had about 20 brand new Dodge pickups and JK's get there cats sawzalled off!)

When I started to Mod my current Jeep I kept a lot of this in mind and added some security of my own:.

-After I bought my Bestop soft doors I grabbed a 1/2 dozen cable gun locks and locked the doors to the Jeep and the top halves to the bottoms. When I take the doors or the uppers off, I lock em down to the tie downs in the back. I also use these on my hard doors in the winter.
-My old motorcycle cable lock is threaded thru the rim on my spare and around the welded part of the tire carrier.
-I installed a Bestop Instatrunk and keep my windows in a window roll in there.
-My hood is locked with a Rugged Ridge locking hood kit to protect my overpriced winch battery and on-board air compressor.
-All my wheel nuts are Gorilla locking lugs.

I know all of these measures won't stop a determined (well equipped) thief, but at least it will prevent snatch and grabs, or slow the little bastard down enough that I may get my hands on him!

Happy Trails!

Wow, those are a lot of pistol locks! haha good idea! for the Bestop Instatrunk, your windows fit safely in there? no creasing them or anything? the only storage boxes I've really seen are small back there and look like they fit under the backseat. I'm thinking about upgrading my security measures when I can, but who knows when that will be!

Thanks

I use a window roll. It has a spot for each side window and the inside of each compartment is lined with soft cloth. Just pop the windows in, roll it up like a sleeping bag and tie the wrap around it. The tag is missing on it, and I don't remember where ordered it from. Bestop maybe?

It's just a half box that screws into the side of the trunk. Mine is made of plastic. There are some that are pretty heavy duty but mine does the job.

+1

WAY to many low life dirt bags in the world now. Almost makes me wish my brother in law could become President. He wants to shoot them all!!

Good luck on the windows. Sounds like you're almost there.

And what proof would you have when there are no identifying markings on windows?

I could tell you if they were mine by the zippers but I know that wouldn't hold up to a police officer lol. But all three of them I could tell ya if they were mine by the zippers. Thanks everyone lol this really sucked and I've ordered everything I need racking up more and more debt but didn't spent enough to make that damn deductible.

Didn't say I would. It is pretty rare to see all 3 windows for sale around here, so if I did see some I would alert the OP and let him pursue it.

Thanks for the comment though *edited*.

Shitty. I just pull everything out of my jeep including the glovebox and leave it unlocked. Put a club on the wheel and leave it
