Lightbulb My TJ Pictures

I have just put a lift on my TJ. I put spacers on the wheels between the wheels and the hubs. They are 1.5 inches. I brings out the stance. I have a before and after picture. I had to do this because of the 8.8 rear end it was within about 1/8 inch of the shock tower.

Has anyone else put spacers like this on their Jeep??

Nice! I like the white with the black wheels.

Also, do you use the shackles in the front and rear? If so, you might see if you can squeeze a 3/4 shackle as it will give you a bit more strength.

The shackles are a bit small aren't they. I will have to fix that. I still have not completely considered my recovery options. No winch yet either. Still building.

Thanks

If you have a Tractor Supply store they have 3/4" shackles for around $ 15 each. If you don't have a winch it might be a good idea to invest in some good shackles.

Good looking Jeep.

rule of thumbs is keep the nuts tight and check them regularly. Thats about it.

Often people put the spacers on and forget about the nuts because they are hidden by the rim, thats why some have problems. Gotta check them too since there are an extra set of nuts to worry about.

Since they are also aluminum tighten them once and then couple days after, tighten them again. Aluminum is like that. You will tighten it, then it will settle a bit and loosen and you will have to tighten it again. I had to do that with my rim the other day. I tightened it hard and yesterday i checked it, it was somewhat loose when i pressed on it with the wrench. Today i checked it but it was tight.
