Name the jeep

I got an lj few weeks ago and its time to name it. Should i keep the hardtop grey or paint it to black? It has the chrome grill and has anyone painted the headlight bezels on a chrome grill with a silver jeep? and if so can you post pictures? Also you got to start the lil ones into jeeps early so i painted my 1 year old daughters jeep to match mine. Ill have the pics up of mine and hers together.

Your LJ is in really great shape. It looks showroom new.
I would leave the hardtop grey, remove the chrome grill overlay (easy to do) and paint it or just leave it off completely and paint the bezels grey as well. Of course that is just my opinion, I could be wrong. Remember it is your Jeep and you know better what you like than we do.

I thought about that with black fenders. I will buy fenders before i paint that. but i did not know that could be removed. Im a fan of it and then i am not at same time. She jsut hit 100k the other day. I cant come up with a cool name other than calling the jeep a she or her.

Black top. Black bezels. Remote overlay. Her name will come to you when the time is right. She'll whisper it over the tires singing and all the other clunks and clangs she makes. Lol

Use the krylon fusion. Or you can use the plastic dip. Search the forum. Plenty of people have painted their tops and they've come out wonderful

I took the chrome off and im on the fence. im thinking the chrome for shows and regular for off roading. im not sure if the jeep lettering looks good with the chrome. it looks good with the gray though. i also pollished the chrom when it was off.

It's your jeep. Do what makes you happy. I despise chrome. I'll always vote no. But it's not my jeep. Lol

I did all of my hinges, they had a little rust, so black to me was the only way to go .Love black and silver.

I removed them, but it was not easy , if you don't heat up the screws first , they are tough to get off, but once you to ,they come right off. Good luck.

No problem at all, I did the windshield one hinge at a time ,over a two day period.I was thinking though, you might be able to leave the portion of the hinge on the door, just remove door and tape it off. Good luck

I just used the Krylon Fusion to repaint my wheel flairs and other plastics and it worked great. I've seen pics of the plastic dip and it looked good too.
