Nates 4x4

I ordered my Model 1 bumper from Nates 4x4 on Super Bowl Sunday. It was delivered to the house yesterday. My experience has been good and the bumper is solid.....and American made. I also ordered an Engo 10,000 lb winch with synthetic line, which also should be arriving soon. All for $760 total. I will post some pics once I have it mounted.

Nates 4x4 con't

I had to delete one of my pics...had me name, address and phone number on it. So here are a couple other pics of it with that info smudged out. I am just going to coat it with bed liner. Simple enough to do.

Bumper looks solid. Brush guard looks heavy duty and not just for show. Can't wait for some finished and installed pics!

Nates 4x4

Cleaned it off with some acetone and put the first coat of bed liner on it last night. Glad I started on the underside to get my "WTF did I just do" out of the way. Just a little run, but still.

Still waiting on the winch.

Going to go get a bit, wire, and some connectors so I can run the fog light wires through the brush guard.

I'll post the finished product soon...I hope.

Looks great! Lots of costs of BL!!!! I have a couple rust spots peeking through where I was a little light when I sprayed mine down. Something to get you excited for:

I would try and put a grommet or something in the hole that you are drilling to wire the lights through. This will allow less water and moisture to get inside of the brush guard and rust it from the inside out!

No drilling required, Nate puts light tabs attached to the top of the brush guard.

I have the light tabs but I didn't want the wires coming straight off the lights and hanging down. So I drilled a couple small holes and ran the wires through last night. I put some grommets in them to seal them up good. Plan on mounting the lights tonight and the bumper this coming weekend.

Still waiting on that winch

I saw your jeep when I was researching the bumpers from Nate's. Your pics kinda sealed the deal for me. Glad you posted them. His model 1 bumper looks really sharp and IMHO one of the better looking ones out there.....Esp for the price.

Looks sharp! One day I'll finally order one. Other things seem to be keep taking the place of new bumpers.

Got a garage? That's what is keeping me from doing mine. All my arms are on with the track bars but I haven't had the time or weather for the SYE

I finally got the winch. No fault of Nate's......but he did upgrade my 10,000 lb winch to 12,000 lb at no extra cost. Nate's the man. It also looks really cool. It has a kevlar look to it. I will post a pick after I have it mounted.

Curious what 'bedliner' you used and if you are happy with the result? Was it a spray or roll-on?
Seems bedliner would be the most practical and durable way to go on an unfinished bumper purchase.

I did rustoleum spray from Home Depot on my front bumper. My light spots and spots that have been hit have some surface rust coming through that I will be treating and repainting. Just put a bunch of coats in it. I used MKT to wash it down. Stuff is pretty serious so don breathe to much while applying!

I did the rustoleum from Home Depot as well. Used two cans and it came out pretty well. Flares are bushwacker and I got them at autoanything for $420, including free shipping. That was the cheapest I could find.
