Need a new engine... play time, or just get it running?

Looks like I'm gonna have to foot the bill on replacing the engine in my TJ =/ So I figured while I was at it, do I want to do anything special, or just get another 4.0 and go with it?
In a way I would like to go ahead and get a stroker, but I've heard good and bad about the Golen... (premium fuel, plus all the add ons you have to have) and good and bad about the Titan engines. I've been trying to do some research before I came on here and beat a dead horse, but now I want your opinion.
Do I: Get another 4.0, get it running and be happy I have my Jeep going again? Or... do some sort of swap and get more horsies and giddy up n g fr the $$ while I'm down anyway? If it was YOU, and you had to cough up some money anyway, (But not too much, I'm getting married in 3 1/2 weeks) what would you do?
Any good suggestions? (with links to engines if mentioned please)
Thanks ya'll!

Personally. I'd stick with the 4.0. "Sacrilegious" I guess, I dunno. But if you're willing to spend extra moolah, throw a cool air intake or a superchip on with the 4.0, or both! http://www.extremeterrain.com/wrangl...ps-tuners.html

If I was in that situation it would depend on my budget. If I could afford it, then I would go for a v8 swap, but otherwise I would just replace it with another low mileage 4.0 liter and freshen it up a little bit before installing it.

V8 swap. Might as well get something better than you had before

I've read a little on doing the swap... but not sure what all is involved, and how much trouble it is. I won't say I won't ever have to deal with emissions, but chances are I won't.... I'll have to see if I can find a write up. Or anyone have a good link telling about it, and all the options? I've got about a week and a half to get it done is one big thing >.<

Other than a time constraint that's too short to do a proper swap, do you have a budget constraint as well? Is this something you have $5k for at this moment? I'm not even sure you could get a stroker motor shipped to you in that time frame anyhow.

If I was you, you'd be fairly handy with the tools and willing to dig in on some interesting territory. So this is what you'd do if I were you. You'd get a running 4.0 from a salvage yard or a local shop, used but not rebuilt, and put it in the machine because you only have a week and a half right now. Then you'd take the motor you blew and scrap it. Next you could either save your $ toward a Stroker that is built already, or you could buy another solid block, order some pistons, crank, head, etc., get a machine shop to square it away and then start building your own stroker motor.
