Need clarification on transfer case vs transmission fluid change

Sorry for the redundancy, I know there are plenty of posts about these items but I'm a little stuck. Have a 2004 Wrangler TJ with a manual transmission and 4 liter engine. As I understand it, that leaves me with a NV3550 transmission and NV231 transfer case.

Can someone please point me towards a write up on changing the transmission fluid for a manual? All of the write ups involve dropping the pan and removing a filter, as I understand it, that is only done on automatics. The others look like they are changing the transfer case fluid.

Thanks in advance for helping a rookie.

For manual tranny you have a drain plug and a fill plug. Both looks like à bigger than the other Bolt like . 1 Inch in size . You remove the top one first then the other to drain and refill until it starts to get out by the top plug and your done Good luck

Be sure to loosen the fill plug before you remove the drain plug. You want to make sure it isn't stuck before you drain the old fluid. Also, buy a bottle pump.

For the NV3550, the popular fluid recommendations are:
Mopar Fluid 4874464 Manual Transmission Lubricant
Redline MTL
Royal Purple Synchromax

I ran RP for 30k and Redline currently. I can barely tell a difference, but would lean towards RP.

Yeah buddy it's really that simple. Loosen the fill plug, completely remove the drain plug, let fluid drain completely, replace drain plug, remove fill plug, fill with fluid of your choice until fluid comes back out (or to specifications in manual), replace fill plug, wipe up.
