your cheapest route is to take it to a local shop and have them patch it. meaning cut out the bent piece and weld up a new one. if you want to go aftermarket id look at the banks kit. just remeber any aftermarket muffler you put on will make it sound like a ricer.

thats what the catback kits are, there is only 10-11 inches of pipe between the cat and muffler. and i believe that the 2000 and up wranglers are just a bolt on kit that bolts to directly to the cat.

take a look at the pic

well i was thinking just the muffler and a tail pipe to save money, i was told at my local off road store that going cat back is pointless because no kits even upgrade your tube size and honestly i dont even think it would sound good. mostly im looking for muffler suggestions. i never realized it was that little of tubing thought. thanks.

i have a 2.5l and it sounds good. it takes the stock 2 1/4" pipe and brings it to 2 1/2". most people say its useless and doesn't gain power but i noticed a difference. plus the banks is all stainless steel.

Just go to a muffler shop and have them fix it which cost FAR less than if you buy something from a catalog or online.

Agreed. If you want something louder, then have them throw on a Flowmaster or something. Pretty cheap and you know it'll be done right.
