Need help

I have a 2003 wrangler sport and lately when I get to about 40mph my steering wheel shakes real hard. My tires just got balanced but it's still shaking. Any other ideas?

death wobble...take em back to whoever balanced them and get them checked. Also check your alignment.

Welcome to the Forum

Give us a little more info about your Jeep. Do you have a lift? Tire size and psi you are currently running. Tire condition? Did you buy the Jeep with this problem or did it just start? Is there anything that initiates the problem such as hitting a slight bump or variation in pavement or is it only at certain speeds?

Lift-4inches. Tire size- 33s psi- 32. I've had the jeep a little over a yr and it just started about 2 weeks ago. 3 of my tires r good but one of them is a little wore down on one side.
