As stated, I think you have to get the mode switch from a parts store; the dealer doesn’t supply it separately.
The rocker tab seen in the photo in post 14 should be the release. Pushing in on that should release the connector but the terminals, especially if burnt, can hold on pretty tight. Also if the plastic is melted the 2 parts may be stuck together. Try sliding a knife up between the switch & connector along the far edge of the switch. There is a tab that guides the connector. The flap that is pulled back shown in post 20 is what releases the terminals. With that back like it is in the photo you should be able to pull each wire out one at a time. Then you can touch the middle one to the black one to see if the fan runs (key on). You should also be able to get the connector off the switch with the terminals out. If the terminals don’t look burnt & all fit on the switch terminals tightly then you can re-insert them into the connector & close the flap to lock them in place & reuse the connector.
