Need help please: 1 - removing doors. 2 - rockerpanels.

Had my 05 rubicon about a week and still trying to learn all about it. 1 - was going to remove doors today but when I took off the little nuts on the bottom of the bolts, the bolts appeared "stuck" in place. Do they just tap out (upward) or is there some kind of trick.... 2 - it looks like the previous owner had some type of rocker panels on it. There are 5 drilled holes along the bottom. What type of panel do y'all use, if you do. I would like to put some type of rocker panels on it. I'm on a little bit of a tight budget, so nothing really fancy. Thanks everyone.

Hey, The doors are like 1/2 pin barrel hinges, so once you've removed the bottom nuts, firmly pull up on the door and they should come out. The threaded part you see sticking out the bottom will pull out as you remove the door. You do not need to tap them upward. Head's up though, if you've got full doors, they can be a bit heavy if you have to carry them very far.

I'm not sure I know what you mean about the rocker panels.

Been there, done that...Man, were they EVER stuck!.

What worked for me...............Rolled a floor jack under open door and used short 2x4 tween jack and bottom of door...Placed jack as close to hinges as possible..pumped up a little on jack till body lifted about 1-2 inches, then rolled jack back fourth to work door open and closed a little, and as doors rose, I pumped jack...really easy like..

Once doors were off, I polished the door hinge pins with emory cloth and applied a little anti-sieze....Doors come off easy now.

Now I just open doors and lift.

A guy called Blaine that sells black magic brakes is a member of a co-op that also sells bronze hinge bushings....At least I think they do.....Once you get doors off, you might wanna google them up.
