Need help with soft top zipper

The upper zipper pull to my rear window on my soft top just broke in half yesterday. Is there any way that I could fix it or if anyone has a link that i could get a replacement zipper pull that would be great. Without that ill have to cruise around without a back window which doesnt work well with all this rain

You need a #10 YKK slider and a clamp on stop. jeepit.com has then and you can get sliders and "jeep window" zipper repair kits on ebay.

Or here
WRANGLER SOFT TOP ZIPPER PULLS Replacements

Expensive - but it's a pack of 5 - the zip heads actually need some assembly

Also, just to be the guy who points out the really bad stuff - driving without the back window but still leaving the side windows in causes the exhaust to pull up from the pipes and into the vehicle. If you're going to drive the vehicle without the rear window, you should make sure that all the rear windows are out of it, not just the very back. You probably already knew that, but I'd rather be safe than sorry and hear that you suffocated on the interstate.

How about in a JKU with the soft top open (sunrider) and rear window out? With the airflow coming in through the open roof, would exhaust still come in the open rear window?

Try an upholstery shop or a place that does boat interiors and they should be able to replace the zipper like I had done.

Sorry to hijack. The zipper on my rear window is being a pain as well. It gets started okay, but once I get around the first corner and onto the top section, the zipper jams and the teeth start coming apart behind where I had zipped. Any thoughts?

How hard? Lightly or do you want to see soap in the teeth?

That's what I did about 3 years ago, $75 was a lot better than $500 plus for a new top.

When the top and sides are on and you only remove the rear window, you create an issue with the exhaust being pulled directly into the vehicle. With the sides off, no worries. As long as the back window isn't the only thing off you'll be fine.

For the easy way out, when my zipper pull broke, I used a small zip tie and looped it through to act as a pull.. months later I did need a new top anyways, but it worked..
